The All-Star/Select teams are an addition to the Oakville Little League program, not a substitute. All players that play for the Whitecaps also play in the House League program. The players in the All-Star/Select program are expected to fulfill their obligations to house league as a priority. The program is set up to allow the more experienced and higher skilled players the opportunity to play a higher calibre of baseball.
The Whitecaps are a tournament team with most games and practices occurring on the weekend. Teams will play anywhere from 4-7 tournaments over the course of the summer, depending on the team. The tournaments are in the mostly in the Golden Horseshoe, with some in Ottawa, Windsor and Western New York. More details on the All-Star/Select program will be posted on the web-site and distributed on the evaluation days.
